Description If you are going to a 64 bit AIX kernel and using HDLM for a Hitachi SAN: 1- Stop the dlm processes 2- Remove all devices # rmdev -dl fcs0 -R # rmdev -dl dlmfdrv # rmdev -dl dlmadrv 3- Apply the change in dlm (5 = AIX 5.2 64 bits) # dlmchenv -v 5 4- Restart the dlm processes 5- Recreate the devices # cfgmgr Notes: here are the valid options for the -v flag (OSmode) for the dlmchenv command: AIX4.3 = 1 AIX5.1 32bit mode = 2 AIX5.1 64bit mode = 3 AIX5.2 32bit mode = 4 AIX5.2 64bit mode = 5
