Description
The fw logswitch command creates a new Log File. The current Log File is closed and renamed $FWDIR/log/fw.log current date., and a new Log File with the default name ($FWDIR/log/fw.log) is created. Old Log Files are located in the same directory.
# fw logswitch
In addition, a Management Station can use fw logswitch to switch a Log File on a remote machine and transfer the Log File to the Management Station.
# fw logswitch [-h target] [+|-][““| old_log]
Example to create a file named venus.xyz on the Management Station:
# fw logswitch -h venus +xyz |
