coolcommand
how to resolve intermittent browsing problems when using samba |
Description
Here are some useful parameters to add to your smb.conf in case of an intermittent connection problem from the clients to the Samba server.
You need to add the "interfaces" parameter with the server's IP address to and the "remote announce" with the broadcast address.
Here's an example of a server with a class C address which is added in the GLOBAL section of the smb.conf file:
[global] (…) interfaces = 172.26.25.167 remote announce = 172.26.25.255 (…)
|
Example
interfaces = 172.26.25.167 ; remote announce = 172.26.25.255 |
